Compare the Chamber, Complete System, and Delivery Scope

Choose from portable soft-sided, seated, horizontal hard-shell, single-person, and multi-person chamber formats. We help you define pressure, occupancy, room access, power, system components, documentation, and delivery requirements before preparing a configured quote.

Choose the Chamber Format Around the User and the Room

Start with the intended use, operating environment, and target-market requirements. These determine which devices can enter the shortlist before price, appearance, or maximum pressure is compared.

Choose the pressure-bearing structure next. A foldable soft-sided chamber may reduce storage and handling demands, while a rigid chamber requires a defined delivery path, floor capacity, and permanent operating space. The words “portable,” “home,” and “hard-shell” describe format or sales positioning; the exact model documents determine permitted use, operating conditions, and supervision requirements.

Then match occupancy and posture to the user. A single-person chamber fits one-user operation. A two-person or larger chamber needs confirmed rated occupancy, interior layout, oxygen interfaces, staffing, and evacuation arrangements. Sitting, reclining, and lying formats should be selected around entry method, transfer needs, interior dimensions, and the operator’s ability to observe and communicate with the user.

Use these questions to narrow the format:

  1. Will one person or more than one person enter the chamber?
  2. Does the user need to sit, recline, lie down, walk in, or use assisted transfer?
  3. Does the room have enough door width, turning clearance, floor capacity, ventilation, power, and service space?
  4. What operating pressure, gas arrangement, supervision, and target-market documentation does the intended use require?

Build a Comparable Specification Before You Compare Quotes

A usable RFQ defines the same technical and delivery boundary for every supplier. Record each field below and mark missing information as “to be confirmed” instead of comparing assumptions.

Specification fieldWhat to request
PressureRated working pressure, maximum allowable working pressure, relief setting, and whether ATA/psi values are absolute or gauge pressure
Occupancy and postureRated number of users, seating or lying layout, operator position, entry method, and internal supports
Dimensions and accessInternal dimensions, external dimensions, clear entry size, service clearance, and the complete delivery-path requirement
Complete systemChamber, air compressor and treatment, oxygen supply or concentrator, cooling, controls, monitoring, communication, hoses, furniture, and accessories
Gas performancePressurizing medium, air flow, oxygen flow, oxygen interface, exhaust arrangement, and approved connection method
Electrical inputVoltage, frequency, phase, rated load, starting load, plug or connection type, grounding, and protection requirements
Weight and logisticsNet weight, packed weight, package dimensions, lifting or handling method, floor loading, and indoor-move requirements
Documents and serviceModel-specific specification, labeling, instructions, installation conditions, maintenance plan, test records, training, warranty, and support scope

A higher ATA value does not by itself establish better fit. Pressure must be evaluated with the chamber structure, intended use, gas system, instructions, and applicable operating requirements.

Compare the Complete Quote, Not a Chamber-Only Price

Compare quotations only after pressure, structure, occupancy, size, system components, documents, and delivery terms have been aligned. A chamber-only price cannot be compared directly with a package that includes compression, oxygen supply, cooling, controls, accessories, installation, and training.

Ask each supplier to identify these cost boundaries:

  • Chamber body, door or zipper system, internal support, mattress, chair, or other furniture
  • Air compressor, air treatment, oxygen supply or concentrator, cooling, controls, monitoring, communication, hoses, and safety accessories
  • Standard accessories, initial consumables, recommended spare parts, and optional upgrades
  • Export packaging, freight, insurance, duties, taxes, customs responsibilities, and delivery to the final room
  • Installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, operator training, maintenance training, and travel costs
  • Warranty start date, covered parts, labor, freight, response terms, maintenance schedule, and post-warranty support

The quotation should state the currency, issue date, validity period, equipment status, delivery location, trade or shipping terms, and exclusions. This makes the purchase price and the installed project cost visible as separate figures.

Verify the Exact Device, Supplier, and Target-Market Documents

Shanghai Baobang Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. develops and produces MACY-PAN soft-sided and hard-shell hyperbaric chambers in Shanghai, China. The product range includes single-person and multi-person formats. Confirm that the legal manufacturer, brand, contract party, payment recipient, manufacturing location, and service provider are identified consistently in the transaction documents.

For every shortlisted chamber, match the complete model and configuration across the quotation, device label, specification, instructions, test records, warranty, and shipping documents. A certificate or regulatory record is useful only when its holder, address, scope, model coverage, manufacturing location, issue date, expiration date, and current status correspond to the device being purchased.

If the chamber will be purchased for medical use in the United States, verify the exact manufacturer and device in the FDA database, including the applicable product code, 510(k) record when required, intended use, and current recall information. Establishment registration, device listing, a certificate logo, or a record for a similar model does not substitute for model-specific US market authorization.

Request this document set before final approval:

  • Dated quotation and configuration list with manufacturer, brand, complete model, submodel, quantity, and equipment status
  • Model-specific specification, labeling, instructions for use, installation conditions, maintenance plan, and safety information
  • Applicable regulatory records, standards, certificates, and supporting scope details for the target market
  • Factory test or inspection records that will identify the delivered serial number or batch
  • Packing list, commercial invoice, origin or other agreed export documents, and assigned import responsibilities
  • Installation, commissioning, acceptance, training, warranty, spare-parts, and service responsibilities

Plan Delivery, Installation, and Acceptance Before the Order

Map the complete route from the unloading point to the operating position. Record doorway and elevator dimensions, corridor width, turns, thresholds, stairs, floor loading, lifting method, and the service clearance around the equipment. Use the packed dimensions and weight for logistics planning and the installed dimensions and weight for room planning.

Confirm voltage, frequency, phase, rated load, starting load, connection type, grounding, circuit protection, ventilation, environmental limits, fire controls, alarm audibility, communication, and emergency access. The electrical and site requirements on the final model documents should control the installation plan.

Define the handoff sequence in the purchase documents:

  1. Approve the final specification, drawings, configuration, documents, and responsibilities.
  2. Confirm factory inspection, release records, export packing, shipping terms, insurance, and import roles.
  3. Inspect packaging condition, shipment count, labels, model, serial number, accessories, and visible damage on arrival.
  4. Complete installation and model-specific checks for pressure, relief, ventilation, gas supply, controls, alarms, communication, and emergency functions.
  5. Record training, acceptance results, open items, warranty start date, maintenance schedule, and service contacts.

Do not move a chamber into operation with unresolved shipping damage, missing identity documents, configuration differences, failed checks, or incomplete installation records. Record each issue and its resolution in the acceptance file.
