What it does

The soft-shell hyperbaric oxygen chamber does not rely on just one chamber to operate; it requires a complete set of systems to work together. In the context of clinical hyperbaric oxygen, recognized therapeutic hyperbaric oxygen requires the patient to breathe nearly 100% oxygen at a pressure of at least 2.0 ATA and is usually performed in a hardware compartment that meets the relevant specifications. The pressure of a soft-shell cabin is generally between 1.3 and 1.5 ATA, and the pressurized medium is air. Therefore, it is more often positioned in scenarios such as health, recovery and daily health care. It is not realistic to use it to replace clinical hyperbaric oxygen therapy in hospitals. This is why many soft-shell cabins have the word “mild” in their names. The extended sit-in cabin is 2.2 meters long and also supports sitting and reclining, and can accommodate one adult and one child.

If two people in the family want to use it at the same time, a two-person soft cabin can meet the requirements. It weighs approximately 18 kilograms and features a U-shaped or N-shaped zipper structure with an enlarged entrance that can be directly accessed by a wheelchair.

These models have several things in common: the cabin materials are all TPU, the nominal noise limit is 45 decibels, and the pressure specifications are mostly available in 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5 ATA. Colors, logos, and red light therapy configurations can usually be customized to meet specific needs.

Several things you must think about before using

The soft-shell hyperbaric oxygen chamber looks simple, but it is creating a high-pressure environment for the human body after all, and its use should not be taken lightly. First, set the pressure and operation according to the specific model’s manual; do not adjust it based on your own feelings. Secondly, an oxygen-rich environment will increase the risk of fire. The operating site must do a good job of fire fighting and grounding. Lighters, electronic equipment, static electricity items and other things that may cause risks cannot be brought into the cabin. Another crucial point is that continuous care is required during use, and users should not be left alone in the cabin without supervision.

In addition, the home environment and the professional institution environment are very different. Households are less well-equipped with personnel, electrical, fire protection, backup equipment, and emergency support than hospitals. Just because a cabin is suitable for one person doesn’t mean it’s suitable for another family.
