When you see the steel hyperbaric chamber for sale page, the easiest mistake to make is to focus on the appearance and price before asking if the device is suitable for your site. Steel chambers all appear robust, but the factors that truly influence the procurement decision are the rated pressure, chamber structure, number of users, oxygen supply configuration, the scope of the complete system, and the installation conditions once the equipment arrives on site.
“For sale” only indicates that the page conveys a sales intent. It does not prove that the inventory is still valid, nor does it substitute for a formal quotation, model documentation, licensing records, or delivery commitments. Before deciding to make the payment, you should convert the “steel cabin” listed on the webpage into a set of equipment that can be verified item by item.

Hard, hard-shell, metal, and steel are often placed in similar sales descriptions, but they don't mean exactly the same thing. The pressure hull refers to a rigid, pressure-resistant shell; steel, aluminum, and hulls with large-area transparent structures still differ in terms of materials and structural design. Merely seeing the term “hard chamber” does not automatically imply that the primary material is stainless steel, nor can it be used to determine the pressure rating, intended application, or scope of authorization.
During verification, first request the complete model number and material specifications, and confirm whether the user’s entire body is inside the pressurized space. Oxygen concentrators, oxygen tents, partial-body hyperbaric chambers, or standard non-pressurized enclosures should not be classified as whole-body hyperbaric chambers simply because their names include the terms “oxygen” or “chamber.”
It also depends on the number of people and posture used. Single horizontal, single sitting, walk-in and multiplayer cabins correspond to different entrances, interior spaces and evacuation conditions. The number of seats cannot directly substitute for the rated passenger capacity, as multi-person cabins may also accommodate accompanying personnel, crew positions, and onboard oxygen supply interfaces.
It also says "2.0", which may refer to the 2.0 ATA, or it may mix atm, psia or psig. The RFQ sheet shall also list the rated working pressure, maximum allowable pressure, pressure relief setting value, pressure unit, and whether the value belongs to absolute pressure or gauge pressure. Higher pressure does not automatically mean that the device is more suitable, nor does it alone demonstrate efficacy, safety or compliance status.
Taking the existing product range as an example, HP1501 is a stainless steel horizontal hardware cabin with a pressure specification of 1.5 ATA or 1.6 ATA. HP2202 and HP2202 DIA are 2.0 ATA hardware cabins. The HP1501 and HP2202 are available with diameters of 75, 85, or 90 cm, while the HP2202 DIA is offered in 90- or 100-cm diameters. When comparing these models, consider the diameter, inlet, observation structure, and operating posture alongside the pressure; do not rely solely on a single ATA rating for ranking.
Where the procurement objective involves medical use, the intended use and regulatory records of the specific model in the target market should also be checked. A brand, a similar model, or a business registration certificate cannot replace the license certificate of the currently quoted model itself.
A quote that includes only the cabin cannot be directly compared with the price of a complete system that includes air compression, oxygen supply or generation, cooling, control, monitoring, communication, and safety accessories. The quotation should also specify the currency, applicable market, price type, effective date, validity period, and which party is responsible for taxes, transportation, insurance, in‑house delivery, installation, commissioning, and training.
The existing US market price can be used as an example to understand the configuration difference: HP1501 is 75cm in diameter, 10L all-in-one machine is configured at US $26,145, and 90cm in diameter version is US $31,395; HP2202 is 75cm in diameter, 10L all-in-one machine plus BO10L is configured at US $40,414, 85cm version is US $47,145, and 90cm version is US $49,770. These are the face prices for a specific market and a specific configuration, not the final transaction price, nor do they represent the usual prices for all steel hyperbaric oxygen chambers.
When comparing prices, place each candidate model into the same configuration table: only when the working pressure, nominal diameter, vessel material, internal dimensions, rated capacity, system components, customization options, scope of delivery, and warranty terms are all identical does the price become a meaningful basis for comparison. New machines, second-hand phones, refurbished machines, display machines and rental returned equipment should also be separated. When the equipment status is unclear, there is no explainable benchmark for low prices.
Just because the equipment can fit in the room doesn’t mean it can be installed. Steel hardware pods vary widely in weight and shape. HP1501 and HP2202 are listed with a weight of 150 to 180 kilograms; HP2202 DIA is listed with a weight of 160 to 200 kilograms. Vertical HP750 about 1000kg, HE5000 series from 480kg to 850kg. The Purchaser shall check the door width, elevator, stairs, turning space, ground bearing and lifting or handling plan according to the actual model.
After entering the room, sufficient space must also be reserved for the control system, air supply lines, electrical systems, ventilation, heat dissipation, fire protection, and maintenance. Measuring only the length and width of the compartment is often insufficient; the control cabinet, pipeline connections, door opening clearance, and future maintenance access routes can all affect the layout. In cross-border procurement, the contract should also clearly specify packaging, mode of transportation, risk transfer, insurance, customs duties, customs clearance, and import responsibilities.
The formal procurement package shall include, at a minimum, the quotation, configuration list, technical specifications, labeling, user manual, installation requirements, maintenance plan, and safety documentation. The statement relating to the pressure-bearing structure shall state the applicable standard version, certificate or mark holder, type of coverage, place of manufacture and effective range, and the standard name or logo alone is not sufficient.
At the time of delivery, the physical object is matched to the contract, license, specification and maintenance records by model number, serial number or unique equipment identification. The 510(k) record for the specific device may be checked against the product code CBF for medical use in the US market, and the manufacturer, device name, and model range are consistent. An "FDA registered" is not the same thing as a device-specific 510(k) approval.
Don't treat payment completion as acceptance completion. It is advisable to align factory inspection, shipment, installation, commissioning, and on-site acceptance with distinct payment milestones, and to specify in the contract the procedures for handling configuration changes, delays, import restrictions, or non‑conforming acceptance.
Warranty can not only write a number of years. It is also necessary to confirm whether the calculation starts from the factory, upon arrival of the goods, or upon installation and acceptance; which components are covered; and who will bear the costs for labor, travel, transportation, and remote support. Maintenance cycles, common spare parts prices, supplies, service response times, and post-production support arrangements also affect long-term costs.
The equipment purchase price is only the initial input. Electricity, compressed air, oxygen or oxygen generation, cooling, cleaning, preventive maintenance, safety inspection, calibration, wearing parts, personnel training and downtime may all enter the subsequent cost. When comparing multiple proposals, use consistent assumptions for the estimated useful life, usage frequency, maintenance scope, and residual value; do not default items not listed in the quotation to zero.
Finally, returning to the purchase decision: only when the specific model, pressure rating, system configuration, site conditions, regulatory documentation, and service responsibilities are all documented in writing can this steel cabin currently on sale be considered within the comparability range. If any of them can only be confirmed by pictures or oral promises, the payment shall be suspended first and the evidence shall be supplemented before the decision is made.
